STORY

This platter effectively uses the burnt wood craft technique to enhance its edges. The wood has been wiped over with food safe oil. There is no chemical or polish used to achieve the desired effect making this a food safe product.



Burnt wood craft, is a creative art form that involves burning the wood surface to achieve a black hue. After the burning, the surface is then sanded with sand paper and polished with oil. This technique offers a wide range of design possibilities with the contrasting black surfaces creating interesting designs.


As each handmade piece is unique it may contain slight variations in color, texture and form.
