Drawing inspiration from the delicate geometry of a blooming blossom, the Kusum Bowl (Small) is handcrafted from sheet brass into a refined five-petaled silhouette. Master metal artisans carefully shape, beat, and braze each gently curved petal, balancing structural precision with an organic, sculpted form. Designed as an intimate accent for tea lights, delicate jewelry, or quiet ritual displays, its warm golden luster catches the light to bring subtle luxury to side tables, vanities, or altars. Because every piece is crafted individually by hand, minor variations in texture, tone, and form naturally occur, rendering each bowl a unique work of art.
Metal craft or the art of crafting metal into beautiful objects is based on three traditional methods
a) the hammering or beating method
b) the casting method
c) the brazing method.
In the beaten method metal is forged, in casting molten metal is poured into moulds and in brazing, pre fabricated sheets are used.
Brass metal used here is an alloy of zinc and copper.
As each handmade piece is unique it may contain slight variations in color, texture and form.
