Handcrafted from solid brass, the Kusum Tray features clean architectural lines, raised edges, and gently flared end handles formed from a single metal sheet. Designed as a versatile catchall for fine writing instruments, jewelry, or daily desk essentials, its warm metallic luster brings quiet luxury to modern spaces. Because each piece is individually crafted by skilled artisans, subtle variations in texture and finish make every tray uniquely one-of-a-kind.
Metal craft or the art of crafting metal into beautiful objects is based on three traditional methods
a) the hammering or beating method
b) the casting method
c) the brazing method.
In the beaten method metal is forged, in casting molten metal is poured into moulds and in brazing, pre fabricated sheets are used.
Brass metal used here is an alloy of zinc and copper.
As each handmade piece is unique it may contain slight variations in color, texture and form.
