STORY

This runner have been carefully woven by artisans in Rajasthan using the punja weave a handweaving technique that makes skillful use of a tool shaped like a hand with fingers . This technique was traditionally used to weave carpets but has been adapted for use as table linen. The geometric floral motif gives it a contemporary flavor. The cotton fabric and muted colors make these mats a sophisticated and eco conscious addition to your table.

"Punja weave" refers to a traditional method of hand-weaving textiles. Punja weaving is typically done on hand-operated looms. One of the distinctive features of punja weaving is the use of wooden tools, known as punjas, which resemble handheld claws. These tools are used to manipulate the threads and create intricate patterns by selectively controlling the warp threads tension.

As each handmade piece is unique it may contain slight variations in color and texture.
