Born of flame, Jwala finds beauty in the charred and the imperfect. The artisan’s controlled burn coaxes hidden textures from the wood, leaving behind a surface that feels alive — rich, dark, and full of depth. Each frame is a testament to craftsmanship that honours nature’s raw essence, where every burn mark becomes a whisper of creation and renewal.
Burnt wood craft, is a creative art form that involves burning the wood surface to achieve a black hue. After the burning, the surface is then sanded with sand paper and polished with oil. This technique offers a wide range of design possibilities with the contrasting black surfaces creating interesting designs.
As each handmade piece is unique it may contain slight variations in color, texture and form.
