Studio pottery, is a type of pottery created by individual artists in their private studios. Unlike mass-produced pottery, it emphasizes the artistic and creative aspects of the craft. The kneaded clay is thrown on a potter’s wheel and molded into the desired shape. After drying, a glaze is applied and the product is fired at high temperatures making it sturdy.


As each handmade piece is unique it may contain slight variations in color, texture and form.

Studio pottery should be washed by hand. Use a mild liquid soap and water to clean gently. Avoid using abrasive scrubbers or harsh chemicals that could damage the surface. After washing, dry using a soft towel or allow it to air dry. Microwave and oven safe.
