The pakshi strainer simulates the graceful flight of a bird. Made with brass it is a symbol of the ability of the craftsman to bring to life the beauty of the animal kingdom through artistry.

Metal craft or the art of crafting metal into beautiful objects is based on three traditional methods
a) the hammering or beating method
b) the casting method
c) the brazing method.
In the beaten method metal is forged, in casting molten metal is poured into moulds and in brazing, pre fabricated sheets are used.
Brass metal used here is an alloy of zinc and copper.

Wash with gentle cleanser. After washing, always air dry and store in a dry place. Brass may oxidized due to its natural properties. To remove oxidization spots, you can also use tamarind paste with salt or a combination of white vinegar and salt.
